This is a measure of real time functional performance in the hemiparetic arm. The measure is designed to be reflective of real life or actual performance.

Chronology of Development
The OM has been developed following a systematic review identifying other measures with similar properties and building on these. This was followed by multiple stage surveys to clinicians, followed by pilot testing. The OM is currently undergoing formal psychometric evaluation in the clinical setting.
