Chronology of Development
The method has been developed by the company Schnell Trainingsgeräte GmbH, Peutenhausen, Germany and has been validated for normal controls in a pilot study at the Friedrich-Baur-Institute. In this study, reference values of mean muscle strength in arm flexors and knee extensors for male and female probands have been determined.

Description
Multifunctional muscle training, strength and endurance analysis station that enables up to 20 different exercises in different muscle groups, yet only requires a space of approximately 6 square metres. This is made possible by a patented synchromesh transmission, which allows the optimal force curve to be set for every exercise. The associated intelligent software is included in the package.
Purpose/Use
Dynamic and isometric testing and training, multifunctional muscle training, strength and endurance analysis in proximal and distal muscle groups: - motion path analysis with right/left comparison - isometric force analysis with right/left comparison - isometric force endurance test - definable isometric interval training - dynamic performance analysis

Sum Score Calculations
Normal values for knee extensors and arm flexors have been obtained in a pilot study with 300 normal control persons. Mean value (in Nm) is calculated after 3 runs for each muscle group, sum scores can be added from different muscle groups, similar to MRC-Scale.
Sub-Score Calculations
Sub-scores of different muscle groups are possible, depending on which muscles are tested.
Scoring Range
0 to 500 Nm
